Softball Recap: Watkins Memorial Wins Going Away Against Westerville South

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Watkins Memorial walked away with it. They blew past the Westerville South Wildcats 12-2 on Wednesday. Considering the Warriors have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Watkins Memorial got a big performance out of Kyliee Trouten, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Marlee Gerhardt was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Watkins Memorial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
