Basketball Recap: Woodland Takes a Loss

Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 61-31 loss at the hands of the Shead Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-43 back in December of 2024.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Shead, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodland will square off against Mattanawcook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mattanawcook will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Woodland surely won't give up without a fight. Shead has already played their next match (against Narraguagus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
