Garinger is 0-9-1 against Myers Park since September of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Garinger is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Garinger challenged Chambers on Thursday. The Wildcats' defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 2-0 shutout. Given Garinger's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Chambers are ranked 141st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jairo Zavalla and Bryan Hernandez scored both of Garinger's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Meanwhile, Myers Park's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They blew past Ardrey Kell 4-1. Considering Myers Park have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Garinger's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three matchups. As for Myers Park, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.

Garinger came up short against Myers Park in their previous meeting back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
