Basketball Recap: Navarre Takes a Loss

Navarre won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They came up short against the Crestview Bulldogs, falling 72-52. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Crestview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jredyn Bufford led the charge by going 7 for 10 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zy Tassin, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 11 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds.

Navarre's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Crestview, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Navarre wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-66 defeat against Pensacola Catholic on the 10th. Crestview has also already played their next match, a 48-46 victory against Booker T. Washington on the 10th.
