Preview: Greenbrier Wolfpack vs. Ware County Gators
Greenbrier is 0-1 against Ware County since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Greenbrier Wolfpack will be playing at home against the Ware County Gators at 7:30 p.m. Greenbrier is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Greenbrier fell victim to Jenkins' stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were the victim of a tough 24-0 defeat at the hands of the Warriors. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Meanwhile, Ware County blew past Bradwell Institute, posting a 52-20 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Ware County, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Luke Hooks was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 168 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Cox, who picked up 58 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Ware County's win bumped their season record to 5-2 while Greenbrier's loss dropped theirs to 0-7.
Greenbrier was dealt a bruising 44-0 defeat at the hands of Ware County when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Greenbrier have more luck at home instead of on the road?
