Basketball Recap: Taravella Takes a Loss

Taravella was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 68-57 to the Boyd Anderson Cobras. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cobras apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Boyd Anderson found their leader in sophomore Demarcus Deroche, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Juawayne Walters was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Taravella's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Boyd Anderson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Taravella has already played their next contest (against Northeast), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Boyd Anderson will square off against Fort Lauderdale on Monday. Boyd Anderson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season.
