Meadowbrook Academy's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Ocala Christian Crusaders with a sharp 12-2 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

JAMES MARSHALL and RJ JONES made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, MARSHALL tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, JONES struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, MARSHALL scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3, while JONES scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gaige Daugherty, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was ZACH ROSS, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meadowbrook Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meadowbrook Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Ocala Christian, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

As of now, neither Meadowbrook Academy nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
