MaxPreps final Midwest Top 25 high school boys basketball rankings

Season complete as Class A state champion.

2. (2) Indianapolis Arsenal Technical (Indianapolis), 27-2
The Titans won their first Class 4A state title with a 63-59 victory over No. 12 Lake Central (St. John) before a capacity crowd of 18,165 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Jeremie Tyler scored 19 points, while 6-foot-10 Trey Lyles added 16 points and 12 rebounds. Lyles, who has a 3.8 GPA, also won the coveted Trester Award for mental attitude.

3. (3) St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio), 26-2
Season complete as Division I state champion.



4. (4) Whitney Young (Chicago), 29-5
Season complete as Class 4A state champion.

5. (5) La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.), 23-2
The Lakers will play Huntington St. Joseph Prep (W.Va.) in the quarterfinals of the Dick's Sporting Goods High School National Tournament on Thursday at Christ the King in Queens, N.Y.

6. (6) Stevenson (Lincolnshire, Ill.), 32-2
Season complete with third place in Class 4A state tournament.

7. (7) Greensburg (Ind.), 28-1
The Pirates won their 15th-straight game and second-consecutive Class 3A state title with an 89-76 victory over defending Class 2A state champion Bowman Academy (Gary). They shot 57 percent from the field and had a 47-33 rebound advantage to offset 22 turnovers. Senior Sean Sellers (6-7) set the pace with 27 points and 16 rebounds, while Collin Rigney added 23 points and 6-8 junior Ryan Welage had 21. Point guard Bryant McIntosh handled the full-court pressure superbly and dished out 11 assists.

8. (8) Germantown (Wis.), 26-2
Season complete with third-consecutive Division I state title.

9. (9) Upper Arlington (Columbus, Ohio), 27-2
Season complete as Division I state runner-up.

10. (10) DeLaSalle (Minneapolis), 26-3
Season complete with third-consecutive Class 3A state title.



11. (11) Consortium College Prep (Detroit), 25-2
Season complete as Class C state champion.

12. (12) Lake Central (St. John, Ind.), 22-4
The Indians nearly overcame a 23-point deficit in the third quarter before losing to No. 2 Arsenal Tech (Indianapolis) 63-59 in the Class 4A state championship game. Senior guard Tye Wilburn spearheaded a furious rally, scoring 14 of his 20 points during the fourth quarter. Tyler Wideman survived a cut above his nose to score 19 points and grab 12 rebounds.

13. (13) Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati), 24-2
Season complete as Division I regional runner-up.

14. (14) Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, Ill.), 28-3
Season complete as Class 4A super-sectional runner-up.

Season complete as Division II state champion.

16. (16) Morgan Park (Chicago), 24-6
Season complete with second-consecutive Class 3A state title,

17. (17) Benet Academy (Lisle, Ill.), 25-8
