Wilcox started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-21, 15-10.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Sienna Spencer, who had 17 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isha Bisht, who had eight digs and three aces.
Wilcox's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Cupertino, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-11.
