Highland Tech lost to Community School of Davidson 42-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Community School of Davidson led 1A Conference 3 in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Highland Tech.
Cedric Mackey was a passing and rushing force as Bessemer City bested Thomas Jefferson Academy.
Mackey was a force in the backfield as the Yellowjackets defeated the Gryphons.
Mackey was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 43 carries, he ran for 308 yards as Bessemer City lost to Bessemer City. Tyler Bess also contributed to the rushing game with 82 yards on the ground.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Jerry Cash's team's Mason Martin and Borders have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Martin has thrown for 1,083 yards this season, while Borders has 33 catches for 590 yards. Larry Boone's team's Mackey leads the league in rushing yards with 1,317.
The Yellowjackets are in second place, while Jerry Jordan's team is in fifth place.
