Volleyball Game Preview: Lewiston Blue Devils vs. Gardiner Tigers

Lewiston is 0-4 against Gardiner since September of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Blue Devils will head out to take on the Tigers at 5:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Lewiston didn't have quite enough to beat North Yarmouth Academy and fell 3-2. While the Blue Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-14 in the first set.

Lewiston took North Yarmouth Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-16, 25-16, 21-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Gardiner had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-6, 25-10.

Gardiner's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Lewiston, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Lewiston suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Gardiner when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
