It was a good run, but Central Bucks West unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 28-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Neshaminy Skins. The Bucks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Skins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Michael Eckart produced another solid effort rushing for 127 yards and two scores while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 170 yards and a pair of TDs for Neshaminy. Eckart got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 72 yards. A healthy portion of Eckart's aerial production (83 yards to be exact) went to Bobby Lagler, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Central Bucks West's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Neshaminy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Central Bucks West is set to take on their familiar foe Pennsbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Neshaminy will face off against rival Pennridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Skins 12.7, the Rams 14) so any points scored will be well earned.
