Basketball Recap: Egyptian Pharaohs vs. Cobden Appleknockers
Egyptian lost against Cobden back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Egyptian Pharaohs took a 56-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cobden Appleknockers.
Egyptian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mike Curry, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 19 points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Plott, who posted 13 points along with six boards and three steals.
Egyptian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 15 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season. As for Cobden, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 12-15.
Egyptian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
