Baseball Game Preview: Lower Dauphin Falcons vs. Shippensburg Greyhounds

The Lower Dauphin Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Shippensburg Greyhounds at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Lower Dauphin is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Thursday, Lower Dauphin earned a 7-2 victory over Bishop McDevitt.

Meanwhile, in Wednesday's Canine Competition, Shippensburg prevailed. They came out on top against Big Spring by a score of 7-4 on Wednesday.

Shippensburg is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lower Dauphin, their record now sits at 10-3.

Lower Dauphin came up short against Shippensburg in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 11-8. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
