Soccer Game Preview: Carrollton vs. Rome

The Carrollton Trojans will face off against the Rome Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Carrollton's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over Shaw.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Rome made sure to put some goals up on the board against Heritage on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Generals as they made off with a 4-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Wolves, who have now won four games by three goals or more so far this season.

Rome pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three matches. As for Carrollton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Carrollton took their victory against Rome in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1. Will Carrollton repeat their success, or does Rome have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
