Christian Monfort Delivers Electric Effort Vs Rutland

Morgan County picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Christian Monfort. Nobody could stop Monfort as he rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making three total tackles.

Underclassman Danarri Brown Major Player in Jackson Win

While Friday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Danarri Brown. He was unstoppable on Friday, rushing for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

Jackson's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3. Brown and Jackson will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Morgan County at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th.

A Season-Best Effort from Rashon Collier Leads Rutland over Morgan County

On Friday, Rutland had to settle for second even though Rashon Collier put up the best numbers he has all season. Collier rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 113 yards and a touchdown.

Collier and Rutland will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Westside at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th. Morgan County Gets a Boost from Strickland in 55-12 Victory

Davis Strickland was instrumental in extending Morgan County's winning streak to seven on Friday. Strickland was dynamite, throwing for 195 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Strickland and Morgan County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th. Westside dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. Iverson and Westside have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Pike County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
