Baseball Game Preview: Salamanca Warriors vs. Southwestern Trojans

For the second straight game, Salamanca will face off against Southwestern. The Warriors will host the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Salamanca has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Southwestern will arrive with three straight victories.

Salamanca lost 13-2 to Southwestern on Monday.

For Southwestern's part, Judd Harris was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Harris was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Oscar Harris was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. George Marshall was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Southwestern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win got Southwestern back to even at 6-6. As for Salamanca, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 6-6.
