Basketball Game Preview: Glenn Bobcats vs. East Forsyth Eagles

Glenn hasn't had much luck against East Forsyth recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Glenn Bobcats will challenge the East Forsyth Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Glenn is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Mount Tabor 55-15. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-7.

Meanwhile, East Forsyth entered their tilt with R.J. Reynolds on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 54-42 victory over the Demons. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Demons are ranked 413th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Forsyth's win came from a few key players Glenn will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alyssa Jessup, who posted 11 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. Those seven assists gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rajanae Bethea, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 16 points and five steals.

East Forsyth is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Glenn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-17.

Glenn took a serious blow against East Forsyth in their previous meeting back in January, falling 60-15. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of East Forsyth's Autumn Ware, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
