Football Recap: Russell Falls Short of Lloyd Memorial in the Playoffs

Russell and Lloyd Memorial squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Russell had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 28-13 to the Juggernauts. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Juggernauts apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Lloyd Memorial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but KALEB EVANS led the charge by throwing for 178 yards and two touchdowns.

Russell's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Lloyd Memorial, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Russell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lloyd Memorial, they will square off against Bell County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Juggernauts 13.2, the Bobcats 12.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
