Basketball Recap: Chula Vista Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chula Vista extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 2-3. They were beaten by the Morse Tigers 68-22. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Morse, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 66.4 points this season.

Eldren Vergara was the offensive standout of the matchup as he went 6-for-10 to rack up 17 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024. Jacob Garingo was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Looking ahead, Chula Vista won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Valhalla at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morse, they and Hoover will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
