Recap: Coffee Trojans vs. Cass Colonels

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Coffee Trojans had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 30-0 victory over the Colonels. The win was just business as usual for Coffee, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.
Leading Coffee to victory were Tyrese Hansley and Fred Brown. Hansley rushed for 49 yards and three touchdowns, while Brown rushed for 173 yards. Brown is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season.
Coffee's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Chris Reed and Mykevius Smith who racked up five sacks between them.
Coffee pushed their record up to 13-0 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.6 points. As for Cass, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
Coffee will face off against Cartersville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cartersville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Cass does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
