Basketball Recap: Johnsonville Takes a Loss

Johnsonville extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-3. They came up short against the Andrews Yellowjackets, falling 68-44. If the Flashes were looking for revenge after losing 54-36 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Andrews' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 26, 2024 (when they won 62-27).

Andrews' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeronde Johnson, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Johnson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chris Stewart, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.

Coming up, Andrews will face off against Kingstree at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Johnsonville will be paying especially close attention to the Yellowjackets' game: after the Yellowjackets face off against the Blazers, they'll take on Johnsonville again at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
