Basketball Recap: John F. Kennedy Catholic Triumphs

John F. Kennedy Catholic won the last time they faced Rootstown, and Nick Ryan did his part to make sure it happened again. The John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles breezed by the Rootstown Rovers to the tune of 66-33 on Saturday thanks in part to Ryan, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 13 boards. His afternoon made it 27 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Preston Geracitano, who posted eight points. He also posted a block, marking his first of the season.

John F. Kennedy Catholic's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Rootstown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John F. Kennedy Catholic will host Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. John F. Kennedy Catholic is facing Cardinal Mooney at the right time seeing as Cardinal Mooney is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Rootstown, they will face off against Field at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rootstown will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: Field will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's game.
