For the first time this season, Caesar Rodney will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to face off against the St. Georges Tech Hawks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Caesar Rodney's defense has only allowed 6.8 points per game this season, so St. Georges Tech's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Caesar Rodney is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Caravel Academy, who was ranked second at the time (Caesar Rodney was ranked 17th). The Riders fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 21-19 on Friday. The loss was the Riders' first of the season.

Caesar Rodney better focus on containing Joel Buck and Jayden Goffigan as the pair were huge in St. Georges Tech's win. Buck rushed for 51 yards and three touchdowns, while Goffigan rushed for 72 yards and one score on only six carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Buck has posted since back in October of 2024.

St. Georges Tech was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

St. Georges Tech's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Mekhi Smith, Derek Foxmoor, and Micah Johnson, who each picked up one sack apiece. Smith was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making eight total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.

Having lost for the first time this season, Caesar Rodney fell to 4-1. As for St. Georges Tech, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
