Recap: Ridgeline Academy Eagles vs. El Dorado Wolverines
The Ridgeline Academy Eagles put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 61-57 W over El Dorado. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why El Dorado lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mikai Phipps. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Carbajal, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Ridgeline Academy's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for El Dorado, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Ridgeline Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Premier at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. El Dorado won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Empower College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on December 13th. Empower College Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 185th, while El Dorado is ranked 50th).
