Basketball Recap: Lorain Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 28-28 at halftime, Lorain was not quite Bedford's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell to the Bedford Bearcats 60-54. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Bearcats are ranked 97th).

Lorain's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Bedford, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.

Looking ahead, Lorain and Avon will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Bedford, they will take on Maple Heights in a tournament on February 22nd. Maple Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65 points per game this season.
