Soccer Game Preview: Cedar Creek vs. Anderson

The Cedar Creek Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Anderson Trojans at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Cedar Creek fell victim to Bastrop and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bears: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Anderson made sure to put some goals up on the board against Crockett on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over the Cougars. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won four games by three goals or more so far this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Anderson, bringing their record for this year to 6-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Cedar Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Cedar Creek beat Anderson 3-1 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cedar Creek since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
