After losing to Brookwood the last time they met, Lakeside decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Vikings skirted past the Broncos 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since October 3, 2024.

Lakeside had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-19, 17-15.

Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Brookwood, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.
