After flying high against San Antonio Memorial last Thursday, Blanco came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 49-27 to the Yoakum Bulldogs on Friday. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Blanco still got an impressive performance from Trey Atchley, who rushed for 185 yards and one TD while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Atchley really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.

Yoakum's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Germarquis Robinson, who rushed for 140 yards and three scores on only seven carries. Another player making a difference was Jace Morales, who rushed for 87 yards and one touchdown.

Blanco's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Yoakum, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Blanco wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 37-32 victory against Rogers on the 10th. As for Yoakum, they have also already played their next contest, a 48-13 win against Hempstead on the 10th.
