Basketball Recap: Oceanside Collegiate Academy Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Oceanside Collegiate Academy picked up another tournament win on Monday. They managed a 36-32 victory over the St. Agnes Academy Tigers. Given the Landsharks' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 37th in South Carolina, while the Tigers are ranked 397th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for St. Agnes Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oceanside Collegiate Academy will challenge Atlantic Collegiate Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Oceanside Collegiate Academy is facing Atlantic Collegiate Academy at the right time seeing as Atlantic Collegiate Academy is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for St. Agnes Academy, they will take on Lutheran South Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
