Basketball Recap: Ogden Piles Up the Points Against Ben Lomond

There's no place like home for Ogden, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They claimed a resounding 54-27 win over the Ben Lomond Scots. With the Tigers ahead 33-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Ben Lomond's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Payton Huff, who posted 15 points, and Aleia Huff, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Aleia is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last four games she's played.

Ogden's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for Ben Lomond, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ogden Tigers take on the Union Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ben Lomond, they will square off against Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Grantsville has 15 straight wins, Ben Lomond has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
