Football Game Preview: Bishop Badgers vs. Falfurrias Fightin' Jerseys

The Bishop Badgers will head out on the road to square off against the Falfurrias Fightin' Jerseys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop has given up an average of 31 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bishop came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 56-14 loss at the hands of Raymondville. The Badgers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Although Bishop took the loss, they still got scores from Kobe Ruiz and Eric Owens.

Meanwhile, Falfurrias didn't have quite enough to beat San Diego on Friday and fell 34-32. The Fightin' Jerseys haven't had much luck with the Vaqueros recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Falfurrias' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Bishop, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Bishop strolled past Falfurrias in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 40-22. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Badgers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
