Volleyball Recap: Mountain Island Charter Comes Up Short

Mountain Island Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Community School of Davidson Spartans, falling 3-0.

Mountain Island Charter was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Community School of Davidson work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-20, 25-21.

Mountain Island Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Community School of Davidson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mountain Island Charter will take on rival Bradford Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Community School of Davidson is set to challenge their familiar foe Christ the King at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
