Recap: Indian Creek Braves vs. Greenwood Woodmen
The Indian Creek Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 34 points or more this season. They blew past Greenwood 70-32 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Indian Creek who now have eight in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indian Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lauren Foster, who scored 17 points along with nine assists and three steals. The game was Foster's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bre Gault, who scored nine points along with seven steals and five assists.
Indian Creek pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.2 points per game. As for Greenwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indian Creek's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sullivan at 6:00 p.m. on December 22nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Sullivan is ranked 66th, while Indian Creek is ranked 68th). Greenwood will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory on December 28th.
