Recap: San Tan Charter Roadrunners vs. Veritas Prep Falcons
The San Tan Charter Roadrunners entered their tilt with the Veritas Prep Falcons with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. San Tan Charter skirted past Veritas Prep 28-26. That result was just more of the same for these two, as San Tan Charter also won the last time the pair played back in September.
It was another big night for Zayden Neill, who threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Neill is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Maison Coffman, who picked up 158 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
San Tan Charter's victory was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.8 points per game. As for Veritas Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
San Tan Charter will head out on the road to face off against Camp Verde at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Camp Verde knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 contests -- so hopefully San Tan Charter likes a good challenge. Veritas Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
