It was a good run, but Sumner unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to the Bainbridge Spartans.

Sumner's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Bainbridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Sumner and Bainbridge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Sumner (ranked 71st) will meet Graham-Kapowsin (ranked 258th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bainbridge will challenge Kingston at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025 up 180 places (111 vs. 291).
