After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Milpitas, King's Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Santa Clara Bruins by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Bruins on April 7th, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

While King's Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Santa Clara scored at least 22 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 18-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Trey Sherman paced King's Academy's offense, picking up 19 kills. Sherman got some help from Kevin Zhang and his 32 assists. Sherman was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

King's Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Santa Clara, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

Coming up, King's Academy will head out to face off against MacDonald at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Clara, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Live Oak on the 24th.
