Volleyball Recap: Jayden Vang and Maximus Inboon Secure Win for Sanger West

It's playoff time, and Sanger West had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Justin Garza Guardians on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Hornets as they're now sitting on three straight.

The final score came out to 25-17, 20-25, 25-20, 25-23.

Leading Sanger West to victory were Maximus Inboon and Jayden Vang. Inboon had 19 digs and three assists, while Vang had 20 assists and ten digs. Vang is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 14 games he's played. Elijah Guevara also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Despite the loss, Justin Garza still got an impressive performance from Phillip Bell, who had 20 digs and six assists.

Sanger West's victory bumped their record up to 26-14. As for Justin Garza, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 29-12.

Sanger West has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Santa Ynez on the 15th. Justin Garza does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
