Basketball Game Preview: McKinney Lions vs. Plano West Wolves

The McKinney Lions will head out to square off against the Plano West Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McKinney will be strutting in after a win while Plano West will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when McKinney faced off against Plano on Friday. McKinney walked away with a 61-49 victory over Plano. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Wildcats are ranked 461st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-47, which was the final score in Plano West's tilt against Plano East on Tuesday. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last nine times they've met.

McKinney is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-15 record this season. As for Plano West, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-10.

McKinney didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Plano West in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 72-68 win. Does McKinney have another victory up their sleeve, or will Plano West turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
