Recap: Lake Marion Gators vs. Timberland Wolves

The Lake Marion Gators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 37-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Timberland. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lake Marion in their matchups with Timberland: they've now lost seven in a row.

Lake Marion's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Harmony Mccaskill, who scored 13 points, and Jimyria Green who scored six points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zania Holman, who scored five points.

Timberland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tashee Roberts, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Armani Johnson, who scored three points along with 13 rebounds and four steals.

Lake Marion dropped their record down to 5-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Timberland, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.
