It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Whiteland had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Columbus North Bull Dogs with a sharp 12-2 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Peyton Dickens made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Whiteland let Isaac Phegley and Kayden Wilson run wild. Phegley went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Wilson went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four RBI gave Phegley a new career-high.
