Baseball Recap: Warrensburg Burgers vs. North Warren Central Cougars
Warrensburg put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the North Warren Central Cougars a 10-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Warrensburg sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Caden Allen was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Stevie Schloss, who went 3-for-3 with four RBI.
On North Warren Central's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Scheafer, who went 1-for-2 with a double.
Warrensburg pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for North Warren Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Warrensburg will head out on the road to face off against Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Warrensburg knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Salem likes a good challenge. As for North Warren Central, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Hartford Central at 4:30 p.m.
