Kenai Central faced Soldotna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Kardinals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Stars. This was a revenge game for the Kardinals: when they faced off against the Stars back in August, they had to take a 3-0 loss.
