Recap: Newman International Academy Warriors vs. Westlake Academy Blacksmiths

The Newman International Academy Warriors won the last time they faced the Westlake Academy Blacksmiths, and things went their way on Friday too. Newman International Academy slipped by Westlake Academy 45-44. The win made it back-to-back wins for Newman International Academy.

Jeremiah Bamibe continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring seven points along with 12 rebounds and nine steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. Miles Page was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Newman International Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Westlake Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newman International Academy on the road again on Wednesday and play against International Leadership of Texas Keller at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Westlake Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Victory Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th.
