It was a good run, but Founders Classical Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their 14-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 60-41 bruising from the San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy Pirates. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hoplites this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-52 back in October of 2024.

San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryan Hayes led the charge by going 7 for 12 en route to 18 points and three steals. Hayes has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Keymonte Jenkins, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Founders Classical Academy's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-3. As for San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Founders Classical Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy, they will face off against IDEA Judson College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
