Homestead is a perfect 3-0 against Lincoln since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Lions at 4:00 p.m. Homestead is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Homestead is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 20 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Los Gatos on Thursday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Mackenzie Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Lincoln was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They fell 5-0 to Live Oak. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Acorns: they've now lost four in a row.

Lincoln saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Serenity Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Homestead, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Everything went Homestead's way against Lincoln when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Homestead made off with a 9-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
