Basketball Recap: South Milwaukee Comes Up Short

South Milwaukee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the West Allis Central Bulldogs, falling 89-36. The Rockets lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 63-48 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why South Milwaukee lost, don't look at Manny Matos. Despite the final result, he posted six points. Grayson Wucherer also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

South Milwaukee's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for West Allis Central, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

South Milwaukee has already played their next contest, a 51-42 defeat against Grafton on the 13th. As for West Allis Central, they are taking a road trip to square off against Whitnall on Thursday.
