Baseball Recap: Capuchino Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

Capuchino hadn't done well against Burlingame recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Mustangs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Panthers a 3-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 back in April.

Capuchino got a great performance from Declan Mendel as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Anakin Manuel was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Capuchino has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Burlingame, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-16.

As of now, neither Capuchino nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
