Basketball Recap: Ekene Ogboko's Big Game Can't Quite Lead South Garner over Southeast Raleigh

South Garner was the 58-52 winner over Southeast Raleigh when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The South Garner Titans took a hard 58-43 fall against the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs on Friday.

South Garner's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ekene Ogboko, who posted 14 points. Ogboko continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Garrison Dean was another key player, putting up 15 points.

South Garner's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Southeast Raleigh, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-8.

Coincidentally, South Garner and Southeast Raleigh will both be playing Cleveland the next time they take the court. Southeast Raleigh will head out to face Cleveland at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while South Garner will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
