Basketball Game Preview: Kim/Branson Mustangs vs. Trinidad Miners

The Kim/Branson Mustangs will challenge the Trinidad Miners at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Kim/Branson had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past Walsenburg to the tune of 41-7 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Trinidad made off with a 37-36 win over Des Moines.

Kim/Branson took their victory against Trinidad when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 42-22 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
